Once again all my great plans to get my shopping done early and without all the “last minute pressure” of running out to the busy stores, waiting forever for a parking spot, fighting the huge crowds and finding what I want have gone out the window. I thank my higher power for Online Shopping. In 2011, when it wasn’t very popular I set out to online order all the gifts I wanted to give for Christmas that year. It was the most hassle free, stress free experience I can remember. I searched online when I thought about the best Christmas gifts I wanted to buy. I did my due diligence and simply clicked on a few buttons and everything I ordered showed up by courier to my door. I didn’t have to go out and get frustrated and spend hours only to be disappointed and settle for something I didn’t really want. (Note to self: There is still time to do all my shopping online and have it delivered before Christmas but I have to act now.) I ordered everything I wanted for Christmas gifts or birthday gifts or wedding gifts or whatever from 2011 until 2016. I think I must have fallen and bumped my head because I started feeling a little nostalgic and thought I’d try going to the mall to hear the Christmas music and see all the busy shoppers wearing my Santa hat, carrying my Starbucks coffee and try to have a relaxing shopping experience. Well, I got that fantasy out of my head within 5 minutes of sitting waiting for a parking spot, when some older gentleman saw me waiting for a spot with my blinker on and the way the car backed out of the spot I had to wait for the older man to drive by but instead of moving along, he promptly pulled into the spot I had been patiently waiting for. Has that ever happened to you? I was muttering under my breath and I even honked my horn at him. I was not happy. I’m making a New Year’s Resolution early this year, I’m going back to Online Shopping for 2018, it truly is the best shopping experience I’ve ever had. And I’m going to continue to online shop as much as possible. Life is stressful enough, why add to it if I don’t have to! 1.66 Billion people online shopped last year and it’s growing year over year.
This is not a new way to shop, it’s the best way! Tell me about your online shopping experience vs traditional shopping, I’d love to hear from you.
